About Us
The Foreign Service Academy (FSA) of the Republic of Kenya is the national institution mandated to provide diplomatic training, foreign policy research, and advisory support for Kenya’s diplomatic and public service personnel. The Academy equips diplomats and public officers with the knowledge, skills, and competencies required to operate effectively in an increasingly complex and dynamic global environment.
The Academy has evolved from a specialized training function within the Ministry of Foreign and Diaspora Affairs into a Semi-Autonomous Government Agency (SAGA) with its own legal identity and governance structure. This transition has strengthened its institutional capacity, enhanced operational flexibility, and positioned the Academy to expand its role in diplomatic training, research, and strategic partnerships.
