The Foreign Service Academy is committed to providing continuous comprehensive training on diplomacy, diplomatic protocol, etiquette, and international negotiations to all senior government officials to equip them with a competitive edge and necessary skills as they skillfully navigate this increasingly globalized world”. The Director General, Foreign Service Academy, Amb. Paul K. Ndungu said this during the closing ceremony of a three-week diplomacy course.
The training course was successfully conducted on 19th August to 6th September, 2024 at KESRA. It was designed to prepare participants to take up their assignments in East African Community (EAC) states and at Kenya’s Border Stations, in accordance with the EAC customs protocol. Amb. Ndungu urged the customs officers to be exemplary ambassadors of Kenya and the East African community as they consistently strive to offer quality services in the interests of their clients and our motherland. The officers were also called upon to observe high levels of integrity, professionalism and patriotism.
The ceremony was also addressed by the KRA Deputy Commissioner for Human Resource Management, Dr. Ema Omwenga and the Deputy Commissioner for Policy, Customs and Border Control Mr. David Ontweka who congratulated the participants and encouraged them to exercise continuous learning for effective service delivery.
