The Foreign Service Academy today cohosted an interesting cyber diplomacy dialogue under the theme “Negotiating Africa’s Digital Partnerships”. The dialogue, which was cohosted with the Blavatnik School of Government at Oxford University, focussed on Africa’s policy choices in digital diplomacy in light of rising tensions between the world’s digital powers. The thought-provoking ideas presented by the lead researcher, Dr. Folashade Soulé brought to the fore some interesting dimensions of various aspects of cyber cooperation. Amb. Philip Thigo, a well-known Kenyan technology and public policy expert, highlighted Konza Technopolis, positioning it as a visionary model for Africa’s digital future.
