Earlier today, The Prime Cabinet Secretary and Cabinet Secretary for Foreign and Diaspora Affairs, His Excellency Hon. Musalia Mudavadi, presided over the signing of the performance contract between the Foreign Service Academy and the Ministry of Foreign & Diaspora Affairs. This was a truly remarkable event noting that it was the first-ever PC to be signed by the Academy following its launch as a state corporation.
Speaking during the ceremony, H.E. The Prime Cabinet Secretary emphasized the importance of the contracts saying they are strategic tools for driving measurable outcomes which are aligned to Kenya’s national priorities under the Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda (BETA).
“ He noted that the contracts outline clear goals and targets that prioritize public safety, improve service delivery, and ultimately enhance the quality of life for all Kenyans. They reaffirm our commitment to fostering efficiency, transparency, and accountability in public service,” said H.E. Hon Musalia Mudavadi.
The event was attended by key officials including Dr. Korir Sing’oei, Principal Secretary for Foreign Affairs; Ms. Roseline Njogu, Principal Secretary for Diaspora Affairs; Prof. Patrick Maluki, Chairperson of the Council of Foreign Service Academy; and Hon. Mwambu Mabonga, the Chairperson of the Public Benefit Organizations Regulatory Authority.
The performance contracts serve as an essential accountability mechanism, providing a structured framework for tracking the implementation of government policies and programs. The PCS urged leaders and staff of the affected entities to uphold the highest standards of integrity, diligence, and responsibility in their roles.
“The annual exercise is a cornerstone of public service delivery. It’s a commitment to excellence and a reminder that every action must deliver real, transformative change for the people of Kenya,” he added.
