On Monday, April 14, 2025, the Ag. Director General of the Foreign Service Academy (FSA), Amb. Wamoto MBS-Ndc (K), on behalf of the Principal Secretary for Foreign Affairs, officially presided over the closing ceremony of a two-week induction training for Foreign Service Officers set to be deployed to various Kenyan missions abroad.
Amb. Wamoto lauded the officers for their dedication and active engagement during the training and encouraged them to uphold high standards of professionalism, integrity, and patriotism as they undertake their diplomatic assignments.
“As you represent Kenya on the international stage, remember that you are the face and voice of our nation. Serve with excellence, discipline, and purpose,” he said.
Amb. Wamoto emphasized the importance of lifelong learning and staying informed on emerging global trends. “The world of diplomacy is dynamic. Continuous training and research are essential tools for any successful diplomat,” he added.
The training encompassed key areas such as diplomatic protocol, economic diplomacy, and strategic communication, with the objective of equipping participants with the requisite competencies to effectively navigate the multifaceted dimensions of diplomatic engagement and official representation.
