Ambassador Paul Ndungu, the outgoing Ag.DG Foreign Service Academy today bid farewell after 35 remarkable years of service to the public sector.

The outgoing Acting Director General took a moment to express his gratitude for the teamwork and support that made the Foreign Service Academy the institution it is today. “Our success has been a collective effort. It’s not just my journey, but the journey of everyone who contributed to our shared goals,” he said, acknowledging the dedication and collaboration that led the Academy to its current status as a recognized parastatal.

“I began my retirement journey in 1992,” Ambassador Ndungu shared, reflecting on his long and fulfilling career. His words underscored the importance of planning and thoughtful reflection on one’s professional path, offering a powerful reminder of the long-term impact that dedication to service can have.

The DG urged young staff to start planning for their retirement now, emphasizing the importance of career planning, leaving a meaningful legacy, and preparing for life beyond the workplace.

As Ambassador Ndungu embarks on this new chapter, his career stands as an inspiring testament to commitment, hard work, and the power of collaboration. The spirit of encouraging staff through his personal experiences has led to widespread recognition, with the staff acknowledging and embracing the values he instilled.
