A two-week induction course has commenced at the Foreign Service Academy for all officers who were recently posted to Kenya’s diplomatic missions abroad. While opening the training programme, the Acting Director General Amb. Paul Ndung’u reiterated the importance of the induction to the participants by emphasizing that the main aim of such training is to equip Foreign Service officers with the requisite knowledge and skills to effectively perform their diplomatic duties in such a way as to benefit our country, the African region and the global family.
The DG also noted that the course is designed to assist officers to effectively adjust to their new roles, adapt to the dynamic diplomatic landscape, and navigate the complex challenges of representing the motherland on the world stage with diligence & professionalism.
The FSA-DG also reminded participants on the need to embrace continuous learning and adaptability in order to remain effective and relevant in their missions abroad.
On his part, the Director General for Political and Diplomatic Affairs, Amb. Eliphas Barine urged participants to always maintain a high standard of dignity, integrity, and professionalism in all their interactions. He encouraged them to not only undertake their assignments with diligence but to equally demonstrate respect for the National values and principles of public service at all times.
